July 24, 2013 Back to Kuala Lumpur
Homer and I arrived on time at Kuala Lumpur's Low Cost Carrier Terminal. I am no stranger to the city since it was my second time to visit KL. After touch down, we had to rush to the immigration counter by walking briskly to avoid the long queue. We had adjusted back our time pieces on an hour in ahead. This time, we had the same as that of the Philippines.
At the immigration counter, we spent time due to the long queue as expected. After we were done, we went down to the arrival hall and looked for KLIA transit kiosk. I suggested that we better take the train for faster transport to the city. So we paid RM12.50 for the train ride from Salak Tinggi Station to KL Sentral. From the airport, we went outside to the KLIA bus that will take us to Salak Tinggi station. The rain started to pour as we wait for the 1PM ETD. Soon we were leaving the airport premises.
Arriving st Salak Tinggi station, we scanned our train tickets, the one we purchased from the airport, at the scanners and off we went to the platform. The train arrived by 130PM as indicated on our train tickets.
From the train, I was able to experience 4G internet searching for cheap but nice hotels near KL Sentral. I decided a location near KL Sentral since this where the train interchange is and for better access to locations.

The train ride to the city was around 40 minutes giving us a different view of the scenery. A small airfield showed us a glimpse of the Petronas and the KL tower. Then the view changed to towering housing units which indicated that we were already at the city.
I managed to find a hotel near KL Sentral. Just on the other street, a walking distance, was the Hotel Sentral which I paid only RM158 for an overnight stay. We had a two single bed room with AC, cable TV, hot and cold shower and the usual amenities for beverages inside the room. We also had a view of the monorail from the window.
Upon checking the quick access directory by the phone table, I flipped the cardboard giving me a good laugh. I saw the price list of the room items. This was intended for guests who had the strong urge of bringing home hotel items.
Familiar Route
We spent a few minutes at our hotel room to rest and to charge our phone baterries. We had a snack of sandwich at the train station for our lunch. Time check: 4PM. Late lunch eh? Anyway, we bought a ticket at KL Sentral bound to Batu Caves. I was the tour guide here since I was in KL before.
At Batu Caves, I gave a short introduction of the place as a Hindu temple. Then we wasted no time in taking photos here and there. For the second time, I went up again the caves with 272 steps.
Nothing has changed from my last visit in January 2011. Here's a gallery of photos from Batu Caves.
I
It's almost sundown so we decided to go to KLCC for an early dinner. KLCC is a mall located at the grounds of Petronas Towers. By 8PM, we joined the group of people taking photos outside with the Twin Towers as background. Foreigners and locals alike were busy in finding good spots for their photos.
We concluded our KL stopover by 930PM. We left the premises bound to our hotel. We took the train again from KLCC to KL Sentral. It was another exhausting day of walking.
