August 22, 2012 Road Trip at GenSan
Our day started amazing race style. We came from Lake Sebu early in the morning, had a quick stop at Surallah, left our bags at Tupi with Louie and Carol taking their bags to the car. Soon we went back to the road heading to GenSan airport where Louie and Carol will have a connecting flight to Cebu-Palawan by noon.
We had to make another quick stop to the fruit stands along the lengths of Tupi highway. We bought some native delicacies that Carol brought to Palawan as pasalubong.
The roads of South Cotabato were so wide. It's as if we were on the express way as Sir Ian hit the gas pedal. His aim, arrive at the airport as soon as possible. Time space warp and soon we were at the airport by 1120AM.

We sent our best regards for a safe journey to Louie and Carol while the rest of us went to a road trip. Next destination was scuba diving at Sarangani which will be told in the another blog. We had lunch first at Jollibee Calumpang before we hit the roads heading to Sarangani.
Coming from Sarangani that afternoon, Sir Ian drove us to the GenSan tuna fish port. The guard was strict at first but Sir Ian told him that we just wanted to see the place. We were not able to see so much of the tuna carrying actions since it was already 4PM. We saw some trucks being loaded with buckerfull of small tuna. We drove back to the city center after.
Passing through the streets of GenSan, I saw a somewhat funny product ad atop a store. Worth capturing in my camera though.
We went to the mall to check some it since it was newly built. After buying some stuffs and food, we got back to the car and headed back to Tupi.
I thought the day would never end because of the road trip we had from morning to night. We were so tired as we arrived in Tupi unknowing of the surprise that awaits us. Our energy levels rose up when we saw the sackfull of freshly picked rambutan. I will write the story on another blog.
And that's the wonderful thing about family travel: it provides you with experiences that will remain locked forever in the scar tissue of your mind. ~ Dave Barry
