August 20, 2012 Braving the Waters of Sarangani
It took 30 minutes from GenSan to the town of Maasim in Sarangani. We drove passed by the coastal villages and canyons. To our left was the blue Sarangani Bay.
Located on top a cliff, Lemlunay Resort was our destination. We went to Lemlunay for a beginners dive with South Point Divers. South Point Divers operate within the property of Lemlunay Resort. They have a resident dive master.
Since I am not really a swimmer and seeing the sudden sea drop on the cliff side I decided not to the dive. I might panic underwater compromising my safety. It just confirmed that water is not my element. Sir Ian and I just stayed on the terrace to look over our things and document the day with a cone of ice cream. So Homer, Dexter, Alvin and Kim went to change for wetsuits and had their orientations.
So they had their 30 minute of introductory dive into the waters of Sarangani Bay. They had their fun and I did get jealous. But anyway, I need to conquer my fear first.
After changing to dry clothes, we again hit the roads enroute to GenSan. We had a short stop over for a quick photo of the nice view over a cliff. They have a beautiful scenery on Sarangani.
